Tring Shotokan Karate Club is delighted to announce that Sensei Chris Hogg was awarded Yondan (fourth degree Black-Belt) and Sensei Liz Lloyd was awarded Sandan (Third degree Black-Belt) on 29th October 2017.

These examinations are both physically and mentally demading testing all three elements of Karate: kihon, kata and kumite but requires the demonstration of a much higher level of technical proficiency, understanding and knowledge.

We are humbled by Chris and Liz's determination and spirit in pursuing these grades.

Tring Shotokan Karate Club is delighted to announce that Sensei Andrew Herbert was awarded Sandan (third-degree Black-Belt) on 23rd October 2016.

The Sandan examination tests the same three elements as Shodan (first-degree Black-Belt): kihon, kata and kumite but requires the demonstration of a much higher level of technical proficiency, understanding and knowledge.

We are humbled by Andrew's determination and spirit; he is an inspiration to us all.
